ETCS 3, Sum-ag NHS champs in school streetdance
Education and Training Center School III and Sum-ag National High School (SNHS) bagged the championship for the elementary and high school categories, respectively, in the 2016 MassKara Festival Street and Arena Dance Competition Saturday (Oct.22).
Each champion received P50, 000 in cash prize.
SNHS swept all the four special awards: Best in Mask, Best in Costume, Best in Concept, and Best in Choreography.
ETCS-III won Best in Mask and Best in Costume.
In the elementary category, first runner-up was Francisco R. Flores Elementary School with P30,000; Second runner-up was Jose R. Torres Elementary School with P20,000.
J.R. Torres Elementary School also won Best in Concept and Best in Choreography.
Each special award was given P3,000 cash prize.
In the secondary category, first runner-up was Luisa Medel National High School with P30,000; second runner-up was Fr. Gratian Murray, AFCS Integrated School with P20,000; and third runner-up was Domingo Lacson National High School with P10,000.
Meanwhile, the street dance barangay category will be held tomorrow (Sunday) 3 p.m. with 17 barangays.
The Street dance competition is the highlight of the annual MassKara Festival.
