2 nights of fireworks set at Tourism Strip
The Electric MassKara at the Tourism Strip will have two nights of fireworks display—on Oct. 21 and 22—at the South Capitol Road.
Senator Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri and Mayor Evelio Leonardia will lead the countdown of the fireworks competition tonight [Oct. 21], with Planet DX Fireworks of Bukidnon competing against Tower Fireworks of Cotabato.
This is the third night of “Sadya ang MassKara with Mayor Bing: The 1st Mayor Evelio Leonardia Invitational Fireworks Competition.”
Four groups already competed in the first two nights: Monarch Firecrackers of Hinigaran and E & B Fireworks of Bulacan, held on on Oct. 19 at the Bacolod Government Center (BGC) with 5,000 crowd, and between Bathans Fireworks of Batangas and Pyro Kreation of Bulacan on Oct. 20 at the Bacolod Public Plaza, with 8,000 crowd.
Tomorrow night [Oct. 22], Peacock Fireworks of Bacolod City will compete against AL Aquino Fireworks of Laguna.
The Champion’s Showdown will be on Sunday (Oct. 23) at the BGC, the last night of the 23-day MassKara Festival.
Energreen Power executive director David Tan is sponsoring the fireworks competition. He has turned over a check worth P550,000 to MassKara Festival director Eli Francis Tajanlangit.
A subsidy of P30,000 were given to the eight participants.
The top 3 winners will be given P100,000; P50,000, and P30,000, respectively, for the Champion’s Showdown.*
