About 1,500 residents of Bacolod City availed of free medical consultation and medicines during the medical mission at the BAYS (Bacolod Arts, Youth, and Sports Center) on Saturday [Oct. 1] as part of the official events of the 37th MassKara Festival.
The medical mission was a partnership among the Negros Grace Pharmacy, which is celebrating its 45th anniversary; Office of Congressman Greg Gasataya, and the Silver MassKara Festival Organization, organizer of this year’s MassKara Festival.
A total of 25 volunteer doctors and nurses attended to the medical needs of the beneficiaries.
Medical assistance includes consultation in the pediatrics, urinalysis, cholesterol, random blood sugar, nerve test, uric acid, hematocrit, and laboratory.
Free medicines were also given to the patients after they have undergone medical check-up.*
